The funeral service will be conducted on Saturday at 3 p.m. at the Mount Pleasant Christian Church by the Revs. John K. Ormond and Ronnie Hobgood. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 2 to 3 p.m. prior to the service and other times will be at the home. Mr. Oakley, son of the late James Willis Oakley and Mahala Elizabeth Mercer, was a native of Farmville and a graduate of Aurora High School.
